Verizon is opening its doors..

..A surprising - right, very surprising - announcement from Verizon today. In a nut shell, they are opening their network to everybody. Yeah, so every CDMA phone ever can work on their network. All they have to do is certify it. I guess that means one can even go so far as to make a phone on a breadboard in their basement, and as long as it meets certain test criteria it will be allowed on the network.
